Wedding Scenario

Can anyone picture a woman deciding to wear a white tuxedo (instead of a dress) for her own wedding?  In addition, her bridesmaids could wear purple or pink tuxedos.  I'm not sure if any church would allow it, although they do stress that the bride should wear white. 

By the way, this would be a heterosexual wedding.  I was just curious if there were any women who didn't care much for dresses and decided to break with any usual wedding traditions.

Why not specially with long skirts i think it will look very formal.

Here is an ideal wedding scenario:

The bride is wearing a white tuxedo (including a white bow tie and pants).  She also wears a detachable white skirt over her pants, and is also wearing either white oxfords/boots.

The bridesmaids are wearing the same outfits, except that their tuxedos & bow ties are light blue/gray and they are wearing black oxfords/boots.

The groom and groomsmen are wearing black tuxedos.

Just before the bride and groom have their first dance at the reception, the bride and bridesmaids remove the detachable skirts, thus revealing the pants underneath.

My fiancée is planning on wearing a tan pantsuit for our wedding this coming September. I doubt I can talk her into wearing a tie with it, although she does like the look.
