My flickr is tie-fetish-2011, pics with blacked out eyes are my wife.
Your tie is well done, collar a bit loose BUT I'm guessing you have a hard time finding collars of a small enough size.... Most ladies do!

That's quite a collection of pictures! Loads of inspiration for different looks too. (You have a very eclectic appreciation of shirts and ties!)

Glad you found some inspiration!
Waiting to see more!
For me a good close fitting collar and snug firm Windsor knot are a winner every time!

Thank you so much! My husband and I have a new found love of shopping together now, looking for new shirts and outfits! (we were never ones for clothes shopping before!)
Thanks for your compliments too!

Can I ask why you personally find the close fitting collar so desirable? Is it the mostly the tidy look, or is it knowing the lady can feel that it's tight?
Also — stupid question, but are ties pretty much unisex, or are men's and women's ones different?!
OK... so, the collar thing, when the collar looks loose its kind of "why bother" I suppose? It takes away from the smartness of the look and if you look sometimes even if the tie is tight it squashes the collar line and makes it look messy, a nice close fit (not too tight because nobody wants to be strangled and the lady will wear it longer if comfortable I suppose??) looks better and a smarter look, also I do like the thought that she "knows" shes wearing a smart collar and tie, if the collar is close fitting and knot if its a nice plump firm windsor will be felt by her especially if she looks down. I do like to look down during "fun" times to see this look and the collar and tie knot move with head/neck movements....
Ties are pretty much unisex.... depends how tall you are on what kind of width will be shown?
Your husband is a lucky guy!!
Are you in the UK btw??
Keep up the good work!

Re: Starting a photo blog.
Thanks for the reply! (To be honest I just love hearing why people love tights collars, it makes them more exciting to wear! And wow — I'd never really considered the amazing view when "looking down!"
I am shopping for more shirts today, and ties. I am in the U.K, so any recommendations would be helpful! (i'm only 5ft tall!) Hopefully if we're successful my photos will start to improve! Have you found my blog yet? It's getting a lot of traffic since posting about it on here!!

Re: Starting a photo blog.
Leora you are amazing!! I have just seen the picture in your blog its fantastic but if your tie's length could be a bit longer (like the large tip of it few cm below the line between your shirt and skirt) would be even better. And if you could share more than few pictures with different angles and the whole outfit (included shoes etc.) could be heart-stopping

Re: Starting a photo blog.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate the advice on how to improve the overall look! To clarify, do you mean the tie should sit longer than the shirt? I bought some new ties today so will practice with them and upload some photos! I'll try and get a few more angles too!khzanzhun wrote:Leora you are amazing!! I think generally the rule is that the tie should end just below the bottom of the shirt but below the bottom of the belt, or where the belt would be:)
Wonderful blog!

Hello Leora, thank you very much for setting up this new blog, which is just brilliant! I'm also a huge fan of female in suit and tie as well as wearing the outfit myself. I got a huge collection on this topic and perhaps you would like to have a talk if you need some inspirations. You are very welcome to pm me in the forum or visit my ins page: inezhynes. Again thanks for the new blog and keep going! moderato926

No, it doesn’t look any shorter than skirts you’d see in many offices, so I’d say it’s about right:)

Re: Starting a photo blog.

I am looking forward to see pictures with some other ties (maybe not as thin as this one, maybe like more masculine next time
)

Re: Starting a photo blog.
Thank you! That's reassuring to know! I think it would also look nice with a longer pencil skirt. My husband wants to take me out in a long tie and pencil skirt today! (and later in a bow tie to the cinema!)Xerxes wrote:Leora Lane wrote:Thank you! Do you really think so? (The skirt is a bit short for a lot of people's liking I think!!)Xerxes wrote:Oh my word! I'm not very au fait with types of knots yet, so I'll have to check some Youtube tutorials!
I'll definitely give it a go!

I've just looked and found some women's shirts with spread/ wide cut collars. Just worried they'll all be too big for me! Might order a tailored one from this site i just found..! Has anyone used them before? https://www.sumissura.com/en-uk/women/custom-dress-shirts/personalize/?step=extra
