Suits personally. But a classy uniform rocking at least a vest and tie is acceptable as well

I like both for different reasons.
For a uniform it's the fact they they are required to wear it, which gives highers high and lower lows. You have the ones that only put in the minimum required, usually a sloppy appearance. The ones that make sure the uniform is worn properly really stand out.
For a suit it's usually a choice to wear it and that invites all kinds of options and flair.

I don't really have a firm preference either way. Obviously a real tie is preferable to a clip-on, but beyond that it depends on the specifics.
I prefer a boxier, more masculine cut (though not necessarily an actual male fit) which both can lend themselves to. For suits I prefer a fine wool but the cheaper materials will still do it for me. For a uniform, it must be tailored (as opposed to utility trousers/high viz), and I prefer more understated detailing, but there is something oddly attractive about the compulsion to wear a fairly masculine outfit (including cheap polyester). Something like a commercial airline pilot is ideal for this - I love the straight-cut trousers and big belt.
